Teapot with boat shaped body resting on rectangular foot, with curved spout and black c-scroll handle; upper section with gadrooned edge and with hinged lid and black wooden finial; each side of body embossed with leafage flanking an American eagle with shield, surrounded by thirteen stars and “E PLURIBUS UNUM” in banner.
Teapot with incised mark on underside of bottom: "6/DIXON & SON"
Found by the dealer in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
