NOTES:
[1] It is believed that this teapot was a gift to Alexander Montgomery and Henrietta Stafford on the occasion of their wedding in 1806. It is engraved with the Montgomery crest and the initials ANM for Alexander Nixon Montgomery. [2] Anna C. Bright was the niece of Alexander Nixon Montgomery's second wife, Mary Lane. The teapot was passed down through Alexander Randall William Montgomery (b. 1878 - d. 1966).
