This delicate teaspoon by Benjamin Hurd is one of a group that shares a distinctive lobed and webbed shell decoration on the back of the bowl.

DescriptionRound-tipped handle with feather-edge decoration has short midrib on back; stem is rectangular in section. The elliptical bowl has a rounded drop with seven-lobed webbed shell decoration. Foliate bright-cut decoration appears under owner’s initials. The bowl tip is somewhat worn.
Marks Stamped "B [device] H" in roman letters within a rectangle on back of stem.
InscriptionsEngraved "P G" in roman letters on front of handle tip.
