Tapestry woven tent hanging with fine white wool warps, heavier wool wefts. White center field with red stripes; at each end, a band of red and green camels(?) on white ground, with border of blue and black checkerboard squares, followed by fine stripes of blue, black, green, yellow and brown on red.
About 1893, purchased in Algeria by Mr. and Mrs. Thornton K. Lothrop; 1913, gift of the Lothrops to the MFA. (Accession Date: November 6, 1913)
