Square panel of heavy cotton crepe, (full loom width with unfinished ends), block-printed and painted (brush-dyed). Main field in overall checkerboard pattern of alternating sunbursts and abstract landscape with palm tree (?), in muted tones of gray, rose/pink, blue, ochre, yellow and dark green. Geometric border of diamonds and dots in rose and blue.
