Prints

This print is the copy of Bartsch 487 described by him. This impression appears to be an early state, before the legend “MIC ANGELUS B A” was added to the tablet on the face of the river bank, and before the initials “M.L.” were added in the lower right corner. The impression has richer polishing scratches in the sky than the impression illustrated in The Illustrated Bartsch.
