DescriptionRecord of visits to Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Boston, etc. by four British officers. Manuscript illustrated with watercolors, some after Bartlett views; some signed A.C. The four officers--Captains Lawrence and Beresford, Lieutenants Dundas and Lloyd--came from Bermuda to tour the U. S. There is a typescript of the text.

InscriptionsFirst page, in pen and brown ink: A Tour by 4 Officers of the Rifle Brigade / May 6th 1842 Left Bermuda for the / United States / Captain Lawrence / Captain Beresford / Lieut Dundas / Lieut Lloyd. Below a printed card attesting to th fact that [B. J. ?] Lloyd passed under Niagara Falls on 22 June 1842. The last dated entry (p. 125) is August 1, after which the men returned to Halifax, NS.
