36 lithographed pages of text and images in black-and-white and color, comprising four chapters, titlepage, and four-page colophon. Thirty-seven lithographic stones used for the images, and twenty-seven lithographic plates for the text. This copy is numbered: 9/36. Printed at Universal Limited Art Editions by Bill Goldston, John A. Lund, and James V. Smith, on Twinrocker paper handmade especially for this edition and watermarked with the signatures of the artist and author. An original story by Alain Robbe-Frillet written directly on lithographic plates in the author’s handwriting. The artist “answered” with images on stones. Edition: 36 plus 4 artist proof copies.
