DescriptionDress, possibly for statue. Blue silk taffeta embroidered with polychrome silk, gilt-silver yarns in scrolling floral motifs. Skirt panel: unfinished at top, blue linen lining. Bodice: lace collar, lacings at back, stiffened at opening, plain linen lining. Sleeves: 2-part, fastened with hooks, eyes; lace cuffs, blue silk lining. Train: two panels seamed together, gilt-silver lace border, plain linen lining.
