The spoon has a deep oval bowl, a ridged rat tail, and a flattened stem with a trefid terminus. The bowl and stem of the spoon are forged from a single piece.

Engraved on back of stem near terminus, EH over EE, Aug 22, 1693

Markings

On back of stem, maker's mark LC crowned a pellet between and a crescent between pellets below in a plain shield (Kent, 1981, p. 35); leopard's head crowned; lion passant; date letter Q
