DescriptionThe basin of the round, shallow bowl has smooth sides and rises from a flat, circular bottom. A band, decorated in an overlapping palm-leaf motif, demarcates the border between the basin and the rim, which is embellished with incised lines that radiate perpendicularly to the edge. The handles, attached to the edge of the rim on opposing sides, are fan-shaped and fluted, resembling silhouetted palmettos.
