Slipware on thin dark body, brown glaze inside. Curving sides, narrow base, molded strap handles. Yellow and brown engine-turned “checkerboard” pattern overall with mid-band of inscription in two lines: “drink I But want A Cup and out of it Ill deeply / Sup for drunk j am and so will Remain then”. On other side: “James hogard Comes here again EL 1761” over vine pattern.
