Two sides of unconstructed bags on white plain-weave silk ground with design of rosettes embroidered with beetle wings, gold thread, flat strips of gold and gold sequins.


This bag belonged to Elizabeth Murray Revere, one of twin sisters, granddaughters of Paul Revere, sent by her aunt, Mrs. Maria Ballastier, from Singapore. Gift of Miss Anna P. Revere to the MFA on September 11, 1952.
