Unfinished crewelwork embroidered chair seat or panel; linen canvas marked with black ink in floral design partially embroidered wool and silk threads in canvas stitch; top and bottom edges hemmed with blue linen thread; sides bound with plain weave linen strips with tac holes; large sunflower with orange, green, and blue center with yellow petals outlined in yellow silk thread; blue flowers with yellow centers in left corner; green, yellow, and blue leaves with brown stems; purple and violet flower; white flower; red rose and bud on right; cloth label sewn to lower right corner on which is written “worked about 1752/L [or I] C. Taber loan by S. L. Swan”
