DescriptionObv: IN COMMEMORATION OF THE HUNDREDTH ANNIVERARY OF AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE. / ACT OF CONGRESS JUNE 1874 surrounds a rope circle enclosing a standing figure of Liberty who is placing wreaths upon the heads of the bowed figures of Industry and Art; on the platform below them is 1876.
Rev: THE UNITED COLONIES ARE, AND OF RIGHT OUGHT TO BE, FREE AND INDEPENDENT STATES. surrounds a rope circle enclosing a rising figure of Liberty who is laying down her sword and reaching upwards towards a circle of thirteen stars and rays of glory, in the exergue is the date 1776.
