Cameo vase with umbra/amethyst body cut back to red, shading to yellow toward the top. The foot was blown as part of the vase and is hollow. Decoration consists of acid-etching on 2/3 of the lower body leaving narrow vertical ribs, with a wide frieze of wheel-carved blossoms ringing the upper part below a short flaring lip. The entire exterior is treated with acid to give a matte appearance.

Signed on the foot in gold enamel script Schneider.
