Formed as a seated Chinese figure beneath a baldachin, a parrot on his right arm and a flowerspray in his left, flanked by scrolls and supported by a grotesque mask.

This wall sconce depicts a Chinese figure sitting cross-legged, holding a parrot in one hand and flowers in the other. Silver or gilt-metal candle holders originally fit into small openings at either side. Similar figures modeled by Eberlein were set on ornamental bases, bot no other wall sconce of this design is known.
