Wedding cap with point in center front with wire framework covered with ivory tulle, with widely spaced artificial pearl beads on cap itself and long tulle lappets, taffeta ribbons for tying, probably originally white, now cream colored, one mother-of-pearl shell on each side of cap. Worn by Lucina Foster, born August 19, 1841, who married Frank Tripp, October 16, 1861. Cf.: 46.1015, wedding dress, Cap part of wedding outfit.
