Open neckline (incomplete); lower bodice gethered; short double ruffle sleeves gathered at welted seam; short overskirt gathered into natural waistline and trimmed with pleated white silk satin ribbons (finished with bow and trails) at sides; 13 covered buttons at back closure. Skirt gathered at waist (no waistband). Worn by Elizabeth A. (Mrs. David) Nichols (18 - ) at her wedding, 1855.
