Tools and equipment

Approximately half of a domed piece of marble. Opposite side roughly broken. On the domed side, the edge of the dome (approximately 1/2”) seems to have been polished, while the interior circle is quite rough (perhaps intentionally so?). There are a large number of dimples of around the same size covering this surface. The edge itself is fine.
