DescriptionAmerican, Philadelphia, 1881. White satin wedding gown in two parts (a) bodice fitted with long deep point center front and center back, laced down center front, low cut square neck, long straight sleeves, neck edged with white tulle ruching and white ribbon drawstring; (b) skirt rather plain in front with fullness pleated in deep pleats in back, long train cut in one with back of dress, entire skirt lined and interlined with buckram alpaca, and stiffened ruching ruffles. Woven label sewn to inner belt: Mrs. J. Chambers.
