Wide curtain from set of crewelwork bed hangings; white fustian ground of four lengths and one piece of cloth sewn together with abutting seam with wool embroidery in flowering vine or tree pattern; New England laid stitch used for thick red, brown, and yellow stems and large leaves and flowers; stem stitch used for thinner stems; herringbone stitch used for smaller leaves, tulips, and buds; some flowers and leaves outlined in stem or chain stitches filled in with cross, link, or speckling stitches; blue, yellow, pink, red, and green bird perched on stem at center. Made to go with 19.67 and 19.596-19.610.
