DescriptionManchu woman's domestic formal surcoat (gua) in dark blue silk with design of waves and mountains across the bottom of coat and sleeve, above which are medallions composed of flowers, vases, gourds, butterflies and fish in various shades of pink, blue, green, yellow, gray and white silk and gold thread tapestry; wadded throughout and lined with blue plain-weave silk.
