Long-sleeved woman’s semi-formal surcoat (waitao) with design of of trees, bats, peonies, cranes, butterflies, cherry trees, bamboo, waves, fans, clouds, chrysanthemum, pagoda, plum tree and magic sabre in gilt paper strip discontinuous supplementary patterning wefts on a blue silk gauze ground.
