DescriptionDark blue gauze Han woman's domestic surcoat (waitao) embroidered with a design of decorated fans, cranes, peonies, lotus peach blossom, butterflies, deer and plum blossoms couched in gold thread and embroidered in green, blue, brown and red silk. The embroidered cuffs are of light blue gauze; center front opening with brass buttons and silk button loops, side slits.
