Dress: brocade, design of flowers, feathers, and wavy ribbons woven with gold thread, flat gold wire, white and purple silk, and purple chenille on a heavy white ottoman ground; cut with open front, square neck behind, Watteau pleats, and short sleeves with double ruffles trimmed with pinked lavender gauze. Dress had been taken apart and partly remodeled in nineteenth century; restored by M. F. A. at time of gift as requested by donor.
