DescriptionBlue-green silk velvet gown, embroidered at cuffs and neckline in imitation of North African or Middle Eastern caftans, chain-stitched areas in gold metal-wrapped thread, outlined in couched cord of twisted orange silk and gold metallic thread, with trompe-l'oeil pendant effect at center front. Tan silk plain weave lining. Printed silk label at back of neck: "Babani / 98 Bd Haussman / Paris"
