Lightweight rayon scarf with inner square on light green ground showing Festival of Britain structures in thin black line with a small banner in the very center reading “Festival of Britain 1951” in curly cursive. This central portion is enclosed in a border of boats with banners flying. The thick outer border depicts London sites with cream sky above them labeled in cursive writing that emerges out of a thin line border. Landmarks depicted and labeled include “houses of parliament”, “marble arch”, and “st. james’s palace”. Light green border. Occasional red, yellow, green, and blue used in the design’s buldings, buses, and boats. No label.
