Navy gauze Han woman’s semi-formal surcoat (waitao) with design of large fans, rocks, flowers, peonies and lion pairs embroidered in silk and couched with gold-wrapped threads; center front opening wide square sleeves, narrow neck band, ties at waist, sides open from hem to under arm.
