Woman’s sleeveless tunic of dark blue satin with overall design of flowers and scrolling vine embroidered in lavender, purple, beige and light green silk; neck binding and ties of purple plain-weave silk; lined with black silk damask with floral motif; arm holes and bottom edge faced with red satin. Probably embroidered by Chinese artists living in the port city of Surat in the state of Gujarat.
