DescriptionWoman's tunic of pale yellow-gold silk with overall repeating design of peahens embroidered in two shades of gold silk with pale green silk accents; border design at neck of peacocks and flowers embroidered in two shades of gold silk; neck binding and ties of gold silk. Probably embroidered by Chinese artists living in the port city of Surat in the state of Gujarat.
