The front has two drawers veneered with crotch mahogany panels within stringing and a cross-banded border of maple. The upper drawer is divided into three long compartments, and the lower is the bag slide with an octagonal interior. There are brass knob pulls and inset keyhole escutcheons. The panels of the sides are veneered with crotch mahogany inlaid with square or rectangular frames of checkered stringing, and the lower border is cross-banded with maple. The tapering square legs are set in the plane of the corner panels and are inlaid on the front with a border of maple. They terminate in square cup casters.

The sides and back are mahogany veneer on mahogany, and the top is solid. The drawer interiors are mahogany, and pine is used for the cross bracing of the case.
