DescriptionThe nose is broken off, and the surface is somewhat worn. The traces of fingers on the left side of the helmet are for a left hand. These and other details of head and helmet have suffered dents and minor damages. The color of the surfaces is grayish yellow.
Provenance1886: with Edward Perry Warren (according to his records: bought in Athens in 1886 and said to have come from the Acropolis); 1895: purchased by MFA from Edward Perry Warren for $ 29,857.37 (this figure is the total price for MFA 95.9-95.174)
