Classification: TextilesObject is currently not on viewDesign includes Many separate motifs, geometric, animal and plant forms, worked with polychrome silks, some metal threads, sequins, and a very little wool (above figure of centaur) in tent, satin, couching, chain, bullion knot, rococo, eyelet, cross, back, dot, and a variety of drawn-work stitches. Backed with striped light neutral yellow silk. Faded, worn in some places. Stitches: cross, double running, eye, eyelet, 4-sided stitch, metallic yarn stitched in maltese cross filling, plaited braid, reverse tent, rice, Rumanian, tent, 2-sided Italian cross, whip.
