Classification: CostumesObject is currently not on viewWoman's coat (ao), probably for theater costume, of dark blue satin with design of flowers, fruit and butterflies embroidered with yellow, orange, green, and white silk and couched gold-wrapped thread; gilt spangles are sewn at intervals on the ground fabric; trimmed around the neck and down the front is red satin with a design of flowers embroidered in blue and white silk; side front opening; lined with plain-weave hemp.
