Under the general direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications and working as a member of the SMFA’s Communications department, will manage and develop the SMFA website and will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including the following: manage and coordinate digital marketing, advertising and promotional activities with special emphasis on online enrollment management and development initiatives. Oversee the Content Management System (CMS), which includes managing and creating pages and sections, creating and maintaining forms, using systems technology to automatically develop and deliver content to the site, and ensuring content workflow and intake is occurring smoothly. Manage the School’s website, in conjunction with the Marketing Director, to maximize both lead generation and relevant content; Track and evaluate Web traffic in order to evaluate effectiveness of Web pages, navigation, and communications efforts, and to inform future site development; Support communications initiatives by translating them onto the Web site’s dynamic pages (home page and News and Exhibitions); Track effectiveness of advertising efforts using tracking codes, Google Analytics and other sources, and perform other duties as needed; Assist in the School’s site redesign and branding initiatives, maintaining a keen understanding of current web trends; Send marketing and communications emails on behalf of the school/SMFA departments; Manage and report on email communications regularly; Administer SMFA’s domain name, including the maintenance of zone files; Maintain Website on a daily basis; regularly check for broken links, bugs, and problems; diagnose and fix them; Work closely with SMFA database administrator to make sure Website is pulling current and proper information from database; Create forms and iframes in support of lead generation strategies; Maintain a relationship with MFA network engineers and inform them when changes to site may affect SMFA or MFA systems; Serve as the liaison to the outside vendors who provide various services, such as CMS, forms, data tracking software, e-mail capabilities, and the secure transaction license; Program HTML and upload pages on to the site; Test and maintain cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility so that the Web site is accessible from a variety of different environments; Produce a consistent visual image on the site by promoting uniform fonts, formatting, icons, images, layout techniques, and modularization, including maintenance of template and image archives; Determine appropriate compression techniques, resolutions, sizes, color maps, and depths to insure that images are delivered to the viewer at sufficiently high speed and quality; Implement links and cross promotions with other sites, ensuring that links are up to date; Ensure that all Web Administrator e-mail receives timely responses.
BA in Marketing, Business Management or related degree; 3-5 years of experience; Superb computer skills, including strong familiarity with web and digital technology (Google Analytics, or other web-traffic tracking technology, on-line lead generation tool..); Must be very detail-oriented; Ability to combine text and images into creative and visually appealing formats; Superb follow-through skills; Must stay abreast of latest web/digital tools and recommend and implement changes as necessary; Excellent organizational skills in order to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards and accuracy; Strong relationship management skills.
