Reporting directly to the Vice President and Dean of Enrollment, the Director of Admissions serves as a member of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA's) enrollment management team and works with the Vice President to establish and implement short and long-range recruitment goals, financial aid strategies, recruitment objectives and policies and operating procedures. This is a recruiting Director of Admissions that recruits students while also providing strategic leadership to the admissions team.

Essential Functions:
• Oversees the admissions recruitment and operations functions.
• Responsible for recruiting and production activity from assigned recruitment territory.
• Daily supervision of admissions staff.
• Daily monitoring and supervision of inquiries, applications, and enrollment goals and application processing.
• Leads the planning and execution of multiple campus-based and off campus recruiting events each year.
• Works with the college's marketing office on the development of marketing materials and social media strategy.
• Develops and implements strategic enrollment plan, to include methods, policies and programs intended to meet specific institutional enrollment and revenue objectives; is responsible for the application of market research and analysis of demographic and economic trends to the work of the Admissions Office; meets enrollment targets.
• As a member of the SMFA's Enrollment Management Team, works to assure that admissions strategies are consistent and that the student body is of sufficient quality, diversity and size to support the mission of the School.
• Directs the process of recruiting, admitting, and enrolling of new students.
• Works in cooperation with the Vice President and Dean of Enrollment, Financial Aid Director and Finance staff, to develop financial aid strategies to achieve goals of quality, diversity, and size of entering class.
• Develops and manages the Admissions Office budget.
• Hires, coaches, mentors, trains and evaluates staff; addresses staff-related issues as needed.
• Coordinates and maintains ongoing communication with all appropriate departments at the Universities who are current partners regarding enrollment of students.
• Works with the Director of Communication and Marketing to maintain a strategic marketing plan.
• Oversees all recruiting activities, including travel, portfolio days and special initiatives; participates in these activities.
• Coordinates written enrollment reports by group and individual, as necessary.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
• Five plus years of experience.
• Knowledge of contemporary art and ability to conduct student portfolio reviews strongly preferred.
• Exemplary communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated history of success in leading and managing staff.
• Customer service focused.
