The Sales Lead is responsible for audio guide sales for the general collection and special exhibitions. S/he will actively engage visitors to purchase and use the MFA guide, process sales using the Tessitura ticketing system, and work with fellow sales associates to optimize the flow of devices throughout the Museum. Will also address any needed adjustments in equipment charging and repair, and periodically work with IT to conduct usability studies to improve the visitor experience using MFA Guides.
A proven sales star, the ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics: excellent communication skills; engaging personality; strict attention to detail; cash handling experience; computer proficiency; ability to perform well under pressure; ability to stand for extended periods of time; ability to work independently and as part of a team. Associates degree, BA or BS preferred. Must be available to work weekends and occasional evenings.
This is a term position, with full-time benefits, through June 30, 2018.
