The MFA is one of the most comprehensive art museums in the world; the collection encompasses nearly 450,000 works of art. The MFA’s mission is to serve a wide variety of people through direct encounters with works of art. Through MFA On Tour, the Museum shares its collection with cities and countries near and far. Since 2000, it has toured more than 60 exhibitions that have traveled to more than 70 venues worldwide. Last year, attendance for MFA On Tour reached over one million people.  Exhibitions include examinations of select artists, among them Monet, Millet, and Gauguin; artistic movements or genres, such as “Art of the Still Life” and “American Landscape.”  Links to past, current, upcoming, and available touring exhibitions can be found below.
