Discover what happens when artists use everyday materials in unexpected ways.
Activity: Learn how to make collographs—an additive printmaking technique that transforms everyday objects into beautiful masterpieces.

Ages 9-11


Look at the world through an artist’s eyes! It is often said that learning to draw is learning to see. Learn the essential skill of observation, which forms the basis of artmaking. Practice using a viewfinder and learn some drawing and shading techniques.
Activity: Charcoal drawing on toned paper with chalk pastels

Discover how artists use one color to assemble multiple forms.
Activity: Create a monochromatic sculpture using wood, hot glue, and one color of paint.
