Learn how paint was invented, how the materials used to make it have changed over time, and discover how to create new colors.
Activity: Mix your own paint and use it to create a painting

Paper
Papermaking is an art, one that dates back thousands of years. Look at the hieroglyphics that depict the gathering of reeds for a scribe’s papyrus in ancient Egypt.
Activity: Papermaking using a technique similar to one developed in China around 105 C.E.

Teens

Furniture Design
Discover how furniture design changes between cultures and over time.
Activity: Design a chair using clay, wood, wire, upholstery filling, and fabric
