Activity: Make an animal mask using different textures and collage materials.

Scientific Documents
Discover how scientists have used art to learn more about the world.
Activity: Create a scientific drawing of an imaginary animal.

Ages 9–11

Sacred Containers
Take a closer look at some of the containers found in the Museum’s collections. Follow the clues to figure out what their purpose might have been and discover how they might even be treasures themselves!
Activity: Create a treasure box using sparkly jewels, colorful paper, and other mixed media.

Teens

Adornment
Learn about the ceremonial role of objects of adornment and jewelry design as you look at examples from the Museum’s collections.
Activity: Make your own wearable art and jewelry using wire, beads, and jewelry pliers.
