Explore the dazzling medium of color and light with designer and conservator, Daniel Maher. He will demonstrate some of the traditional techniques used in his studio such as lead and copper foil, glass painting and etching, Mr. Maher will also present more modern approaches offered to the 21st century stained glass artist such as computer-generated art and the use of beveled, dichroic and hand-blown glass.
Mr. Maher owns and operates the Daniel Maher Stained Glass Studio in Somerville, Massachusetts which is known for its restoration work and innovative new creations. Early in his career, Mr. Maher worked for the legendary Connick Studio, the guild of artists renowned for expert craftsmanship, following in the arts and crafts style of the day.
