Join curators Nonie Gadsden and Emily Zilber for a special behind-the-scenes tour of their exhibition, Nature, Sculpture, Abstraction, and Clay: 100 Years of American Art Ceramics followed by a hands-on demonstration and reception.  Over the course of the evening we’ll explore the historic foundations of contemporary ceramic art through the most outstanding examples in the MFA’s collection. Learn about the continuity in American artists’ approach to ceramics over the past 100 yearsfrom the Arts and Crafts movement to Mid-Century Modernism to Studio Craft and Contemporary practicebefore a very special opportunity to learn more about the materials and techniques of ceramic making through a live demonstration.
