Contemporary Chinese art and culture are informed and challenged by the nation’s ancient past. This interdisciplinary eight-session course explores China’s culture from Bronze Age jades to the contemporary film industry. Along the way, learn about the practice of calligraphy, modern and contemporary ink painting, and traditional and contemporary cuisine.
Eight-session course meets Wednesdays, Oct 6–Nov 10 and Dec 1, 1–2:30 pm, plus Monday, Nov 15, 6–8 pm.
