Michelle A. Wojcik, gallery director, Galería Cubana
See Cuba through the eyes of American artists Alex and Rebecca Webb in “Violet Isle.” Cuba’s Hispanic and African heritage, forms of spirituality, global influences, and geopolitical status contribute to the production of artwork unlike any other. Explore the island’s vibrant artistic and photographic traditions through works by Cuban icons such as Wifredo Lam and Amelia Peláez, and those by contemporary artists such as Educardo Roca “Choco” and Pedro Pablo Oliva.
