Uncle Nashaat by Aseel Mansour (Jordan/UAE/Lebanon, 2011, 68 min.). A family chronicle and a tangled mystery story, Uncle Nashaatbegins with the filmmaker’s search for the circumstances of his uncle’s death, his childhood hero. Cutting through the myths and following the clues, Mansour discovers a darker truth involving political rivalry, jealousy, family feud, and disputed property rights.
