Amnesty (Amnistia) by Bujar Alimani (Albania/Greece/France, 2011, 83 min.). A new law allowing conjugal visits presents more challenges than rewards for Elsa, as her monthly visits with her incarcerated spouse weakens her faith in their relationship.   This closely observed sensual drama follows Elsa as she explores other opportunities for happiness. Director Bujar Alimani creates sympathetic characters and imbues each scene with a quiet strength in this poignant, moving film.
