A Unique Life (Nadide Hayat) by Çağan Irmak (2014, 118 min). Nadide, a fifty-year-old woman who chose marriage over college and career, becomes increasingly bored and lonely after losing her husband. Her grown children rarely visit, and she can’t find fulfillment in any activity. One day, inspired by an article in the paper, she decides to enroll at a university. Her scholarly endeavor leads to an even bigger adventure: an ocean voyage with a group of young and mysterious captains.

A discussion with the director will follow the screening.
