Howl’s Moving Castle by Hayao Miyazaki (2005, 114 min.). After Sophie falls for a handsome wizard named Howl, the evil Witch of the Waste turns her into a 90-year-old woman. Sophie embarks on an adventure to lift the curse and as the power of Howl’s wizardry is revealed—and his relationship with Sophie deepens—she finds herself fighting to protect them from a sorcery war that threatens their world. Howl’s Moving Castle was the second Studio Ghibli film nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
